Embracing Femininity

It’s a gift that comes a bit naturally to us.  Our femininity is what makes us ladies.  But so many women reject this gift because they base their worth on becoming equal with masculinity – something that doesn’t come naturally to women – and for a good reason.  Men and women are equal in worth, but differ in purposes, personality and most obviously, physical build.  Women have something that a lot of men lack – they find a way to get what they want.

Let’s go back to the garden of Eden.  Eve ate the fruit before Adam, and she then coaxed Adam into eating it as well.  Let’s face it, women have a lot of power – and God knows it, and gave it to us for a reason.  But with “great power comes great responsibility”, right?  This is where it gets hard for us.  God does not want us to take our physical beauty, power and charms and use it for thwarting His plan.  Eve was obviously placed in Adam’s life as a companion.  We all know how girls and boys, despite differences, always end up enjoying each other’s company.  We’re made for each other.

For being “physically weaker” than men, we make up for it in beauty.  For being challenged for ages in”who is wiser” between men, we made up for it in quick wittedness and creativity.

But women trying to steal the men’s part is wrong.  And this is where women today have tried to get their way.  Taking way more than what they’re given.  It’s hard to be a woman and have to abide by a plan that we didn’t design.  But it serves us right, whether we like it or whether we don’t.

“Any man that provokes a woman for her place doesn’t know what he’s getting himself into.  He is no gentleman, and is certainly lacking in common sense.”

1 Corinthians 11:8-9 says “For man is not from woman, but woman from man. 9 Nor was man created for the woman, but woman for the man.”

The problem with us is, we can easily use our advantages in the wrong ways – and we often do.
