Priceless Purity was founded by Rachel & Jillian in November 2005.

“Priceless Purity”

Those words came to us one day in November 2005.  (The 11th, to be exact.)  We were both talking on the phone, when the idea hit us.  (Well, we’d both thought about making a Christian website, but never mentioned it to each other until then.)  It was then that we both decided to embark in this adventure together – to create a website designed specifically for girls, teens and women.  As life long friends (our parents have known each other since college days!  Crazy, huh?) we had developed a special trust, so we knew it would be easy to be honest and both critique each other’s writing skills without getting offended, as well as get along. (Hehe!)

Little did we know that this small vision for a website as a resource for women of all ages would grow.

As soon as we had begun writing articles on our site (hosted on MSN groups at the time) we also had begun to reel in members, and started getting requests for a newsletter as well!  This should sound overwhelming (we were only 12 and 13 at the time! AH!) but something about it was exciting to us, and we learned to love it .  Yes, occasionally it was hard to keep up, and we’ve experienced some pretty uninspired moments – but ultimately, we’ve discovered that this a calling for both of us.

Living a state away from each other and having to work on the site and communicate solely through letters, e-mails, phone calls and instant messaging is hard, but God somehow keeps us going at a steady pace!

So, “dear reader”, we hope this article explains the secret behind the name.  It just so happened that “Priceless Purity” were the perfect words to describe what we wanted to share with others.  We decided to try to write revolving around the subject of “purity” – not just broadening the meaning, but defining it, and showing the different ways it can be defined in not only our lives,  but others’ as well.

The first thing the authors of this site need you gals to know is that we are inconsistent.  We  have things to say and share, but we will always be the same personalities God has given to us.  We aren’t perfect, and it’ll show from time to time.  But we strive to be better.  That’s on and in our hearts.  So really, this website is about the journey – the same one we share with you all.

We sincerely hope that this site is a blessing to you – don’t be overwhelmed!
